In the Community

In a world where more than one billion people go to sleep hungry each night and families struggle to make ends meet, budgets don't stretch beyond necessities to secure legal representation. Washburn Law faculty, staff and students play a dynamic role in supporting access to justice and providing basic necessities for area residents.

The Washburn Law Clinic and active student-led organizations work to provide free legal services to the underprivileged in the community, from applying available remedies to protect victims of abuse, to raising funds for local non-profit agencies. Washburn Law students and faculty understand the value of helping to build and restore communities and work diligently to be agents for change.
