Professional Development
Our Professional Development Office staff is committed to assisting Washburn Law students and alumni at the various stages in their career development. The path to a career begins well before you receive your law degree, and it may lead to other professional opportunities you seek later in life. Our staff helps students assess their career goals, explore the many and varied applications of a legal education, and make the transition to a professional career.
The Professional Development Office provides a number of programs and services, including:
- Individual and group career planning sessions
- Workshops on resume writing, job search strategies, and other career-related topics
- Interview skills training
- Panel discussions of career choices in the public, private, and alternative sectors
- An extensive career research library of current books, periodicals, directories, newsletters, and computer resources
- Information regarding career fairs and clerkship programs
