Donald O'Brien Scholarship Award

This scholarship is in honor of Judge Donald O'Brien, Senior Judge, United States District Court for the Northern District of Iowa. The scholarship was set up by the Judge's law clerks in 1993 to honor his commitment to public service. The scholarship is open to any first- or second-year law student with ties to the State of Iowa who expresses an interest and intent to practice law in the area of civil rights, civil liberties, public interest, or other areas benefiting society's less fortunate.

FCBA Law School Scholarship

The FCBA Foundation Law School Scholarship application window is now open and available to law students entering their second and third years of study in the fall of 2015. One-time competitive awards are available ranging from $2,500 to $10,000 and are based on the applicant's financial need, demonstration of merit, and interest in communications law practice. This is both a merit and needs-based scholarship.
Eligibility: Incoming second and third-year law students are eligible for this scholarship. Applicants must demonstrate strength of character, superior academic achievement, and a strong interest in pursuing a career in communications law. Applicants will be selected based on: (1) a demonstrated interest in the communications law field; (2) dependence on financial assistance in order to attend law school; and (3) their law school record.

Kansas Prosecutor Foundation Scholarship

The Kansas Prosecutor Foundation is offering a $1,000 scholarship.
Eligibility: Applicants must be (1) a Kansas resident; (2) a 2L or 3L enrolled in a law school in Kansas; (3) demonstrate a desire to become a prosecutor; (4) exhibit previous or ongoing activities of public service; (5) either be pursuing a career in prosecution or the administration of justice; and (6) may not be a member within the first degree of relationship to either a member of the scholarship committee or the KPF Board.

The Babcock Partners Law Student Scholarship is part of Babcock Partners commitment to helping those who demonstrate high academic achievement, exceptional leadership qualities and involvement with community service defray the costs of obtaining their legal education.

DRI Law Student Diversity Scholarship

DRI is the largest international membership organization of attorneys defending the interests of business and individuals in civil litigation. The goal of the scholarship is to provide financial assistance to two worthy law students from ABA accredited law schools in order to promote in a tangible way the DRI Diversity Statement in Principle.
Eligibility: Scholarship applicants should be incoming second or third-year African American, Hispanic, Asian, and Native American students. Incoming second and third-year female law students are also eligible, regardless of race or ethnicity. Incoming second or third-year law students who also come from backgrounds that would add to the cause of diversity, regardless of race or gender are eligible to apply.
