- We encourage you to visit Washburn Law with your family and friends to meet our students, faculty, and staff, to take a tour, and visit classes.
- We provide you with clear, accurate, timely information about Washburn Law so you can assess how well our program and curriculum meet your needs and interests.
- We typically answer your phone, letter, and email questions the same day we receive them, and mail requests for printed information by the next working day.
- We accept online applications through the Law School Admission Council web site, making the application process simple and fast so we can begin reviewing your application more quickly.
The Washburn Law application process is clear and straight-forward.
- Once your application file is complete it is forwarded to the Admissions Committee for review. Whether admitted, denied, deferred, or placed on a waiting list, notification by mail is sent the day the decision is made. (NOTE: Application review may be delayed December 15-January 15 due to final examinations and holiday.)
- At least two members of the Admissions Committee read each application to identify applicants with the intellectual and personal characteristics needed to complete the rigorous program of study at Washburn Law and succeed in the legal profession.
After an applicant is admitted, not only Admissions staff, but also alumni, student leaders, faculty, and administrators maintain contact to provide updated information to make your transition to law school as smooth as possible.
