Ensuring the Future
Since 1903, Washburn University School of Law has fulfilled the definition of a great law school. The Dean's Circle was founded to inspire loyalty among Washburn Law alumni and friends and to set a high standard of commitment. For more than two decades, the Dean's Circle has been an essential ally in helping the law school achieve its mission.
By becoming a member of the Deans Circle Program you will join a cadre of committed leaders who share your vision of preparing young attorneys for lives steeped in a long history of professionalism. The financial support that you, as a Dean's Circle member, bring to the School of Law is only the beginning of your influence. While you are enhancing the academic environment for students, you are also creating opportunities for faculty and staff to achieve higher levels of academic excellence and service. Your generosity will inspire others to follow your example.
Dean's Circle Membership
Membership in the Washburn Law Dean's Circle Program is open to all School of Law alumni and friends. Membership is accorded all individuals whose annual gifts total $1,000 or more. Graduates of the Last Decade, giving $100 times the number of years since graduation, are members of the GOLD Club.
Donors may choose to designate their gift or give to the unrestricted fund at the law school. To join now, you can either give online or print and submit a Dean's Circle form.
Deans Circle Recognition
In addition to generating crucial financial support for the School of Law, the Dean's Circle provides an exclusive forum for social and intellectual activities. Benefits reserved for Dean's Circle members include:
- Invitations to select events at the law school and around the country.
- Invitation for each member and a guest to the annual Dean's Circle Celebration, an exclusive evening dinner and dance.
- Recognition on a plaque prominently displayed in the lobby of Washburn Law and recognition in the Law School Donor Honor Roll.
- Semi-annual written reports from the Dean.
- Recognition in a variety of alumni and fundraising publications.
Dean's Circle membership also entitles you to recognition at the following levels:
- Centennial Club: $10,000 and up
- Dean's Advisor: $5,000 to $9,999
- Delmas Hill: $2,500 to $4,999
- President's Club: $1,000 to $2,499
Dean's Circle membership is renewable on an annual basis. Corporate matching gifts count toward membership. To be a member of this recognition society, you must pay all pledges by the end of the fiscal year, which ends on June 30.
Of greatest value, members will experience a strong sense of pride knowing their contributions continue the tradition of preparing today's brightest students for the practice of law.
