American Bar Association
Law Student Division
Regional Negotiation Competition
November 8-9, 2008
Welcome!!!
Washburn University School of Law and the Center for Excellence in Advocacy is excited to host the Regional Competition for the American Bar Association Law Student Division's Negotiation Competition on November 8-9, 2008.
The Negotiation Competition provides a means for law students to practice and improve their negotiating skills. The competition simulates legal negotiations in which law students, acting as lawyers, negotiate a series of legal problems. The simulations consist of a common set of facts known by all participants and confidential information known only to the participants representing a particular side. All of the simulations deal with the same general topic, but the negotiation situation varies with each round and level of the competition.
We are very pleased that you have decided to join us for this year's competition and hope that your experience at Washburn University School of Law is one you will thoroughly enjoy. We hope that your team will come away from the competition, and our university, with great memories and new friends.
