Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn allow us to connect, reconnect and communicate with people instantaneously, providing effective channels in which to share information with vast audiences. Navigating these social networking sites while avoiding ethical hazards can be difficult though, especially when the free flow of information can go viral in seconds. This program will demonstrate how to avoid the ethical issues that can arise from using social networking sites, web searches, and even e-mail. Learn how to protect yourself in the blogosphere, and discover how public your private profile really is.

Informational Meeting (Lunch & Learn)

On Monday, September 27, in Room 100 from 12:00 to 12:50, Professor Robinson will have an initial lunch and learn for the Center for Law and Government. This initial meeting will be held in something of a town hall format and seeks to inform students of the intended mission and activities of the Center, to lay out the proposed curriculum and requirements for students to earn a Certificate in Law and Government, to get student feedback/reaction to those ideas, and to talk about the creation of a student Law and Government group which would generate program ideas, help to execute programs, and to serve as a sort of student advisory board for the Center.

Pizza will be served and if you intend to attend please e-mail Shawn Leisinger, stating that you plan to attend this event. Doing so will help us to be sure that we have plenty of food ordered for the event. If you would like more information you may e-mail Shawn Leisinger or Professor Robinson.
