"Ethical and Professional Considerations for the New Lawyer Entering the Practice of Law"
This session focuses on some of the most common problems relating to the practice of law with a special focus on the new lawyer representing business law clients.

"Understanding the Important Role of Accounting and Finance in the Practice of Business Law"
This session provides a practical, hands-on examination of the basic accounting and finance principles the lawyer must learn to effectively represent their business clients.
This program is accredited for 50 minutes of extracurricular credit for the Business and Transactional Law Certificate.
Lunch provided.
Donna Lance will visit Washburn University School of Law on October 9-10, 2008 as the Fall 2008 Business and Transactional Law Center Distinguished Alumni in Residence. During her visit Ms. Lance will visit classes and make presentations to students and faculty.
Donna Lance is a 1995 graduate of Washburn University School of Law. She is the Chief Financial Officer and Secretary of Colorado Capital Bank in Denver, Colorado. Prior to joining Colorado Capital Bank she held legal and management positions in the banking industry and worked as in-house counsel for Koch Industries. In addition to her scheduled presentations, Donna will also offer her views on the current "credit crisis" situation.
