Certificate Programs
Students can concentrate their study on a particular aspect of business law by pursuing one of several certificates of study. By granting the certificate, the law school recognizes that students have completed a focused course of study, provided significant service, and satisfied a rigorous, supervised writing requirement in a specific area of the law.
- Business and Transactional Law Certificate
Equips students with fundamental knowledge and lawyering skills necessary to represent business clients in transactional settings regardless of the substantive areas of law involved. - Estate Planning Certificate
Provides students with a core of tax and estate planning knowledge needed to practice estate planning or pursue advanced legal studies in the area. - Natural Resources Law Certificate
Provides students with a working knowledge of environmental regulation and an opportunity to focus on the representation of clients engaging in, or impacted by, resource-intensive businesses, such as agriculture or the oil and gas industry. - Tax Law Certificate
Prepares students for the advanced study and practice of tax law.
