Tax and Estate Planning Association
The Tax and Estate Planning Association (TEPA) is a student-run organization. It enhances students' classroom education with experiential and service opportunities. For example, TEPA
- Invites speakers to campus and organizes events off campus with tax and estate planning practitioners
- Organizes employment workshops to help members better prepare for and manage employment-search efforts
- Hosts the annual graduate tax program information seminar
- Coordinates Tax Days with tax professional in the regional markets
Members of TEPA elect officers annually.
2010-2011 Officers
- President: Amy Greiner is a third year law student from Kansas City, Missouri. Amy graduated from DePaul University in 2008 with a B.A. in History. Contact Amy at amy.greiner [at] washburn.edu.
- Vice President: David Fall is a third year law student from Thousand Oaks, California. He attended California State University, Chico, and received a Bachelors in Psychology. Contact David at david.fall [at] washburn.edu.
- Treasurer: Alex Bezu is a second year law student from the former Soviet Union. Alex settled in the United States in 2008. Prior to that, he was managing small businesses in a transitional economy in Russia. Alex speaks four languages and has a significant international experience. - Secretary: Rebecca Sanders is a third year law student from Palo Verde, Arizona. She graduated from Northern Arizona University. Contact Rebecca rebecca.sanders [at] washburn.edu.

- VITA Committee: Diane Lautt is a second-year law student from Manhattan, Kansas. Diane graduated from Tabor College with a B.A. in Business Administration: Finance & Management and History. Dillon Stum is a second year law student. Dillon grew up working on his family farm in Ness City, Kansas. He graduated from Kansas State University with a B.S. in Agricultural Economics. Advisor
- Professional Advisor: Scott Taddiken is an attorney with Newbery, Ungerer & Hickert LLP in Topeka and practices in the areas of State and Federal Taxation, Estate Planning, and Business and Corporate Law. Scott received a JD, with a Tax Law Certificate, and an MBA from Washburn University and currently teaches as an adjunct professor with the Washburn University School of Business.
