Professor Carolan is on leave from his position as Head of the Department of Law at the Dublin Institute of Technology, in Ireland. He has been a visiting professor at Stetson University School of Law and the University of Florida, Warrington College of Business. Following law school, Professor Carolan clerked for U.S. District Court Judge Frederick B. Lacey, and practiced law in the United States before emigrating to Ireland in 1992. His primary teaching and research interests include Business Law and International Trade, particularly the Law of the European Union. He is a member of the California Bar.
