Upon his graduation from law school, Professor Waugh joined the Topeka firm of Goodell, Stratton, Edmonds & Palmer, where he worked in the areas of civil litigation and appellate practice for 16 years. Before joining the Washburn law faculty as a supervising attorney, he taught Pretrial Advocacy as an Adjunct Professor at the School of Law. Prior to attending law school, Professor Waugh taught high school English and was an Adjunct Professor of English at Emporia State University.
Professor Waugh is admitted to practice law in Kansas state courts, the U.S. District Court for Kansas, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.
