The Government Documents Collection supports legislative and administrative legal research with materials acquired through United States and Kansas depository programs and by purchase. The Library acquires 43% of the federal documents distributed by the depository program. These documents are in paper, microform, and electronic formats.

Many government documents are listed in the Library's online catalog. A variety of paper and electronic indexes are also available to assist with the retrieval of government documents.

Marcive WebDocs contains a listing of all government documents from 1976 to the present. Click on the "holdings" button at the bottom of the screen to see if the Law Library owns the item.

To locate specific documents in the law library a bibliographic record (shelf list) of all Government Documents received by the law library since 1987 has been maintained electronically. This list is updated on a weekly basis. Contact the reference librarian or the documents staff for help finding materials in the law library.
