Law Library
Treatises
The treatise collection is built around the learning, teaching, and research needs of Washburn Law faculty and students. The strength of the collection is shown by its ranking in the top quarter of all law school libraries for new titles added. The library has held this position for the past 25 years. The Library owns over 372,000 volumes and microform volume equivalents.
Most treatises circulate. However, some are designated for reference use and must be used in the Library. Many of the non-circulating titles in the treatise collection are are the numerous loose-leaf reporters and practice guides owned by the Library.
The treatises are classified by the Library of Congress classification scheme. Those in L.C. call numbers A through KF are on the fourth floor. This is most of the treatises held by the Library. A smaller number of treatises, those in call numbers KFA through Z, are on third floor.
