Washburn Law Rated One of 50 Most 'Woman Friendly' Schools
Washburn University School of Law is ranked among the 50 law schools "most supportive of women's success" in the recent book by Linda Hirchman, A Woman’s Guide to Law School. The ranking was based upon the percentage of women in the academic tenure or tenure-track faculty, the rate at which women students make law review, and the percentage of women in the classes of 1996 and 1997. The book was prompted in part by studies at some law schools that showed men to be disproportionately represented in the top portion of classes at the end of the first year of study.
