Springfield Elected Student Bar President / WSBA Election Results
The Washburn Student Bar Association has elected a new president for 2001.
President-elect Anthony Springfield (2L) will succeed Orlando Estes (3L), who served as WSBA president for 2000. Springfield out dueled his only opponent, Daniel Radford (3L) by a three to one margin at the ballot box.
"Mr. Springfield is very intelligent, astute and well-connected," said Estes. "Along with the new board, Mr. Springfield will take WSBA and Washburn Law to the next level."
"It will be a challenging experience, especially working with a new board and a lot of new faces," said Springfield. "My goal is to make WSBA more visible so that students can come and voice their opinion about the law school."
In other election news, the office of vice president was filled by Blaine Finch, who ran uncontested. In the race for treasurer Eric Bidwell defeated Chanda Feldkamp.
