Intellectual Property Law Extracurricular Activities

Students have myriad opportunities to acquire additional knowledge and practice-ready skills through concentrated extracurricular activities that address Intellectual Property Law and related topics. Symposia, conferences and visiting practitioners and scholars provide our students a well-rounded, diverse exploration into copyright, trademark, patent and art law, as well as patent prosecution and global intellectual property enforcement law.

The Washburn Intellectual Property Law Society (WIPLS) at Washburn University School of Law provides a forum for students interested in patent, copyright, trademark, and trade secret law and seeks to expand awareness of intellectual property (IP) and its importance in the global marketplace and legal world. Members of WIPLS elect officers annually in the fall.
