International Law Extracurricular Activities
Students acquire additional knowledge and practice-ready skills through an abundance of extracurricular activities focused on International and Comparative Law issues. Washburn Law students have unique opportunities to study abroad through the summer program at The University of the West Indies on Barbados or the semester-long program at Maastricht University in the Netherlands.
Experiential learning integrates classroom knowledge with hands-on skills providing students with practice-ready competencies upon graduation. Washburn Law students have completed international and comparative law externships both stateside and abroad, from Alaska to the Virgin Islands.
Through immersion in dynamic student associations, students have access to programming that enhances their knowledge and offers opportunities to meet with skilled practitioners and leaders in the field. Scholars in Residence and Visiting Scholars share their expertise with students through formal presentations and informal gatherings with one-on-one sharing opportunities.
