Setting up Thunderbird (Version 3.0) with MyWashburn Email

  1. Step 1 Open Thunderbird and go to Tools->Account Settings->click Add Account. Fill out your credentials then click Continue. Thunderbird will try and detect the email settings but they will NOT be correct. Click Edit and make the following changes:
      • Incoming:
        • mail.washburn.edu
        • IMAP
        • 993
        • SSL/TLS
      • Outgoing:
        • mail.washburn.edu
        • SMTP
        • 465
        • SSL/TLS

  2. Then click Create Account.
