Books and Treatises Databases

American Indian Law Collection (HeinOnline): contains over 900 unique titles dedicated to American Indian Law including treaties, federal statutes and regulations, federal case law, tribal codes, constitutions, and jurisprudence. The collection also contains compilations edited by Felix S. Cohen.

Foreign Relations of the United States (HeinOnline): presents the official documentary historical record of major U.S. foreign policy decisions and significant diplomatic activity. It is comprised of more than 600 books beginning with Abraham Lincoln's administration in 1861 and continuing to the administration of Richard Nixon/Gerald Ford in 1976.

Gale Making of Modern Law And Eighteenth Century Treatises: Search all of the Making of Modern Law databases at one time.

Intellectual Property Law Collection (HeinOnline): contains legislative histories, treatises, documents, classics, and more relating to copyrights, patents, and trademarks, this collection allows researchers to search across all intellectual property law materials in one database.

Law Library Microform Digital Collection: provides access to many primary and secondary documents of interest to the legal community. Currently, LLMC Digital contains over 50 million page images of primary and secondary legal resources.

Lexis/Nexis Digital Library: offers access to Lexis treatises, practice guides, and study aids for law students, in eBook format. Available to Washburn Law students, staff, and faculty. Guest access is available at the law library.

Legal Classics Library (HeinOnline): contains digital reproductions of rare legal books from the nineteenth and early twentieth century.

National Conference of Commissioners of State Laws (HeinOnline): contains the documents associated with over 250 uniform acts, as well as other publications from the National Conference of Commissioners of State Laws.

National Moot Court Competition (HeinOnline): Contains materials from each National Moot Court competition from inception in 1950.

Phillip C. Jessup Moot Court Library (HeinOnline): Contains documents from all of the Phillip C. Jessup International Moot Court Competitions as well as related materials from the International Law Students Association.

Spinelli's Law Library Reference Shelf (HeinOnline): Contains many publications from the American Association of Law Libraries, cataloging publications, legal dictionaries, the Bibliography of Early American Law, and other materials useful to law librarians and legal researchers.

Taxation and Economic Reform in America Parts I & II: a Historical Archive (1781-2009) (HeinOnline): Contains major tax treatises, tax legislative histories, historic Internal Revenue Acts, and many other documents related to taxation in the United States.

Taxation and Economic Reform in America Part III: History of Bankruptcy (HeinOnline): Contains American Bankruptcy Reports, bankruptcy related legislative histories, historic treatises, and many other documents related to bankruptcy in the United States.

World Trials Library (HeinOnline): collection contains such famous and important works as John Lawson's "American State Trials," "Howell's State Trials," "Law Reports of Trials of War Criminals," "Reports of State Trials" and "Sixty Famous Cases."

Access to our databases
These electronic indexes and databases are available to all users in the Washburn School of Law Library. Access outside of the law school building (remote access) is available to Washburn faculty and students. A Washburn email and password are required for access. Some resources require a faculty/student password, as indicated. Exceptions are noted for specific databases.
