Rise of Anti-Asian American and Pacific Islander Violence in the Era of COVID-19 Virtual Discussion

Washburn University School of Law, the Asian American Law Student Association, and the Kansas Women Attorneys Association are hosting an important community discussion on the rise of anti-Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) discrimination and violence. A panel of Kansas attorneys and a Kansas House Representative will discuss the historical context of anti-AAPI sentiment, recent events, and the rise of hate crimes during 2020 and 2021.

Panelists are Kansas Representative Rui Xu and Washburn Law alumni Brian Kong, '20, Jared Maag, '95, and Eunice Peters, '06.
