The mission of Washburn University School of Law is to teach the next generation of outstanding lawyers. Since opening its doors in 1903, the School has graduated some of the finest law professionals in the country. Our alumni live in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and a number of foreign countries. They are:
- Solo and group practitioners
- Judges of local, district, state, and federal courts
- City, county, district, state, and U.S. attorneys
- Public defenders
- State legislators
- Members of Congress
- Administrators
- Executives and general counsel of international corporations
Recognizing the value of their education, our alumni are among the most loyal in the country. They maintain their ties to Washburn Law by:
- Serving as visiting instructors and mentors
- Volunteering as judges and instructors in moot court, trial advocacy, and other skill competitions
- Helping new graduates find employment
- Serving on advisory boards
- Giving generous financial support to the school
