Estate Planning

Estate Planning goes beyond drafting a last will and testament. The change in population demographics and the fluidity of tax laws require the skill of legal professionals who not only can develop estate plans but also have the expertise in tax and business planning. In addition to ever- changing laws that affect estate planning, other matters must be considered including pensions, medical care, family participation and government benefits. Washburn Law offers students a well-rounded and comprehensive course of studies to address all of these areas in which Estate Planning encompasses.

We complement our Estate Planning and Tax Law curriculum with the option of an Estate Planning Certificate that gives students immediate knowledge to effectively represent clients planning for their retirement.
